Dear Families of Upcoming Kindergartners,
We are excited that you’ve chosen to entrust your most precious gifts to the Academy of Hope. We promise to love them, nurture them, feed their mind, & grow their curiosity & intellect.
In an effort to help your children understand the “life of a kindergartner”, the Academy of Hope begins its “Countdown to Kindergarten” which takes place on June 3, 2014 from 8:30am – 12:00pm. During this time all future Kindergartners will have the opportunity to visit, interact, and experience the day with a kindergarten teacher doing the activities they will be doing next year in kindergarten.
The Parent workshop/ informational session will be offered June 3, 2014 at 11:00am. You may not want to miss this; important information will be given to prepare your student for the upcoming academic year
Also, we offer Kindergarten testing free of charge (PALS K Literacy Screening) so that parents and administrators can look at where the student is academically and determine areas of focus during the summer months; this testing is optional, it’s not a requirement. If you are interested in having your child participate in Countdown to Kindergarten, attending the parent session or having your child tested for Kindergarten Readiness please call the school for an appointment.
